Ice Dinosaurs: the Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic!
Open May 24 - September 14
Get ready for a field trip of epic proportions! Embark with our team on a trek through the lost world of the Alaskan Arctic in the new traveling exhibition, ICE DINOSAURS: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic. Journey through the seasons to uncover how newly discovered Arctic dinosaurs created families, dug burrows, and adapted to ultimately survive the harsh Arctic winter. See authentic life-size casts and real, touchable fossils to discover the origins of this cutting-edge research alongside the paleontologists making these historic discoveries.
There’s more to our story! Come along for a year in the life cycle of a family of Troodons (large-brained, agile feathered “raptors.”) The Alaskan Troodon is a newly discovered GIANT species 50% larger than Troodons known elsewhere. Visitors will get to know one baby, “Snowflake,” and follow her journey from egg to hatchling to young hunter. Grab your parka and ice pick for an Arctic adventure for the whole family.
This exhibit is included with your general admission.
