Join us for Home for the Holidays at the Mathias Ham Historic Site!
The Ham House will be decorated in period style and costumed interpreters will share winter holiday traditions from Dubuque’s history. Refreshments and crafts will be available, included as part of admission.
Winter-themed crafts and cookie decorating will be available as well as guided tours of the Ham House.
Daytime Guided Tours: Saturday, December 9 between 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, on the hour and half hour.
Crafts and cookie decorating: Saturday, December 9 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Cost: Members: Free | Non-members: $9 adults, $6 children 3-17
On December 9 only, Dubuque by Carriage will offer short carriage rides at Home for the Holidays! The carriage will be at the Ham Site from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM and tickets are $5 per person ages 3 and older (under 3 is free). Tickets are limited and are available at the Mathias Ham Historic Site. Candlelight Tours: A 45-minute candlelight tour will allow visitors to take in the house in a different light at 6:00 PM on several weekend evenings in December. Holiday customs will be highlighted by the guides as the tours move through the house.
