Blacksmith Shop
The blacksmith shop is open only on select days and gives visitors an opportunity to view various blacksmith techniques.

Boat Launch
The replica boat launch demonstrates how boats were launched after being manufactured at the Dubuque Boat and Boiler Works, in what is now known as the Woodward Riverboat Museum building on campus.

Greenhouse
The Glab Family Greenhouse has started pollinator-friendly, native plant species for distribution by the Dubuque County Conservation Board's Mowing for Monarchs program. The space is being used to educate school-age youth and River Museum visitors on the principles of healthy land stewardship and their impacts on pollinators, such as Monarch Butterflies.
