The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium extends its gratitude and support of educators, para-professionals, and education administrators during the month of August with a special Teacher Appreciation promotion. With a valid school identification card, teachers, para-professionals, and education staff receive free admission from August 1 – August 31.
The offer is only valid at the box offices and only applies to the individual with identification. Any additional experiences such as 3D/4D films, stingray feeds, and behind-the-scenes tours will be charged at regular price.
“We are glad to offer this experience to educators,” said Brittany Latch, Education Program Manager. “As you prepare to head back into the classroom, stop by to not only have fun, but also to see how areas of the River Museum could be incorporated into your lessons!”
The River Museum regularly welcomes more than 12,000 K-12 students for programming, field trips, and camps, in addition to the community impact felt by outreach programs at local and regional libraries, community centers, and senior centers. The River Museum has fostered relationships with local and regional education institutions and Dubuque’s network of schools have helped support the organization’s mission and educational goals.
